FUNics @ Beijing Comic Convention

Venue: (Beijing, China) Revolutionary Military Museum 军事革命博物馆

Travis (head of FUNics Productions) are invited as a foreign VIP artist for the biggest comic convention in northern China, held in beijing. Other than exhibiting his comic artwork, he has also attended the opening of the event as a VIP, follow by participating in two autograph sessions.

FUNics Productions is also the exculsive party to help to introduce and bring artwork of local artists to get exhibted for the event. For this event, the local artists' artwork who are exhibited are:

Travis Low, head of FUNics Productions was invited to exhibit his comic artwork in the "Shanghai Comic & Animation Expo 2005". FUNics has also help to get the other local artist, MJ to participate in the exhibition.

All 42 comic artwork submitted by Travis has been exhibited. And we are the only invited foreign artists participating in this event.

On 9th July (Sat), 1.30 to 4.30pm, FUNics Productions conducted the FIRST "FUNics Comix Workshop" at Orchard @ Library.

"FUNics Comix Workshop" is jointly organised by Funics Comix Academy (FUNics Productions) and The Association of Comic Artists (Singapore) , in celebration of SHINE, a youth festival supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and the National Youth Council. The aim is to impart the techniques of creating a comic, as well as to stimulate participant’s creativity and imagination.

This workshop is organised and lead by: Travis Low of FUNics PRoductions

Participants are guided by our speakers while they are doing the drawings.

Participants of the workshop should have created their own comic character, like what this cute girl has created, after the workshop.

The 3 hours workshop ended smoothly and we are looking forward to the next one at Orchard@Library on 9th July.

We are conducting a daily "live comix demo" session @ Parco Bugis Junction from 8th to 12th June, 4.30pm to 5pm. 3 of our FUNics Comix Artist, Shawn, Adamas & Banes are there to demo on how to create a finished comix character in 30 mins time.
